About Wasila: Wasila Diwura-Soale is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tampa Bay Sun FC.
During her time in college, Diwura-Soale was a two-time, NJCAA First Team All-American with the Navarro Bulldogs. She also earned Second Team SEC and Second Team All Southeast Region honors with the LSU Tigers.
Diwura-Soale started her professional football career with Ghana Women’s Premier League club Hasaacas Ladies where she won the league title in three consecutive seasons from 2012 to 2015. Prior to her arrival in Tampa, Diwura-Soale played for Wake FC of the USL W League.
Internationally, Diwura-Soale played for Ghana at the U-17 level in 2012 and took home bronze in the World Cup in Azerbaijan.
Diwura-Soale enjoys cooking and fishing in her free time, and her favorite holiday is Eid al-Fitr.
